Atlas of Genetics and Cytogenetics in Oncology and Haematology
The Atlas of Genetics and
Cytogenetics in Oncology and Haematology is a peer reviewed on-line
journal and database in free access on internet devoted to genes,
cytogenetics, and clinical entities in cancer, and cancer-prone
diseases.
Cancer Genome Atlas
The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA),
launched by the National Cancer Institute and the National Human Genome
Research Institute, is a comprehensive and coordinated effort to
accelerate our understanding of the molecular basis of cancer through
the application of genome analysis technologies, including large-scale
genome sequencing.
Cancer Incidence in Five Continents, Vol. IX
Presents
cancer incidence data from 60 countries of the world for which good
quality data are available. The data were drawn from cancer registry
populations and cover the years 1998 – 2002, which is the most recent
available.
CDC: National Program of Cancer Registries
Data
collected by state cancer registries enable public health professionals
to understand and address the cancer burden more effectively. CDC
provides support for states to maintain registries that provide
high-quality data.
National Cancer Institute
National Cancer Institute Search for Clinical Trials
The National Cancer Institute’s database of more than 8,000 open clinical trials can be searched by cancer type and narrowed by stage, geographic location of trial, type of treatment or intervention and other parameters to find specific trials which match the searcher’s requirements.
National Comprehensive Cancer Network
The
National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), a not-for-profit alliance
of 21 of the world’s leading cancer centers, is dedicated to improving
the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer.
NCRI Online Information Exchange (ONIX)
The
NCRI Oncology Information Exchange (ONIX) was developed as part of the
answer to how the cancer research community can make more effective use
of the vast amounts of information that is generated in this field.
ONIX aims to achieve this by making the discovery of information
easier, quicker and more efficient by connecting to and cataloguing
useful cancer-related resources.
SEER Cancer Statistics
The Surveillance, Epidemiology and
End Results (SEER) Program is a premier source for cancer statistics in
the United States. SEER collects information on incidence, survival,
and prevalence from specific geographic areas representing 26 percent
of the US population and compiles reports on all of these plus cancer
mortality for the entire US.
Stats Cancer Profiles
Takes SEER data and generates maps and graphs of cancer rates and trends by timeframe and geography.
